A PRACTICAL OVERVIEW / 01

Explore Ledger.com/start.

Ledger.com/start is the place to find official product setup information. This independent guide is not affiliated with Ledger. Use Ledger’s own site for current instructions and supported features.

B / PREPARATION

Prepare your device

Identify your model, inspect the package, and prepare a compatible computer or phone. Use the connection method described for your device.

C / MAINTENANCE

Keep software current

Use official Ledger software and check the release notes and compatibility guidance before installing updates or adding wallet applications.

D / AWARENESS

Recognize safe requests

Setup should never require you to disclose a recovery phrase to a person, website, or support agent. Pause when a request feels unexpected.

FOLLOW A VERIFIED ROUTE / 02

Find the right instructions for your device.

Steps and compatibility can change. Use this sequence to find current instructions and avoid unfamiliar download pages.

Open Ledger Support
  1. 01

    Confirm the web address

Type ledger.com/start in your browser and check the address bar before continuing. Avoid sponsored results, unsolicited messages, and lookalike domains.

  2. 02

    Identify your model

Match the device name and connection type to the product you have. Requirements may differ by model, operating system, and companion device.

  3. 03

    Review requirements first

Read the current compatibility notes, setup sequence, and update guidance on Ledger’s site. If details conflict, trust the latest official support article.

  4. 04

    Proceed at your own pace

Follow the on-device prompts and official instructions one step at a time. Stop if the screen, request, or download does not match what the official guide describes.

WHEN SOMETHING DOESN’T MATCH / 03

Setup questions, safe next steps.

Connection or compatibility issues are a reason to verify—not bypass safeguards. Keep recovery information private.

01

My device isn’t recognized

Check the cable, port, device power, and the operating-system requirements listed for your model. Try an approved connection method, then consult official support.

02

I can’t find a feature

Supported networks and features vary. Confirm availability in the official product documentation and check the app and device versions before taking action.

03

A message asks for my phrase

Stop immediately. Do not enter or send recovery words. Close the page and reach Ledger Support through its official website using a fresh browser tab.

KEEP CONTROL OF YOUR SECRETS

Your recovery phrase belongs to you alone.

Never share or type your recovery phrase or private keys into a website, chat, support ticket, or message. Anyone who obtains them may be able to access your assets. Ledger support will not need your phrase to help with setup. Keep it offline and follow the safety guidance supplied by the manufacturer.
